Bradley Kelly’s Fresh New Look

You may have noticed a few recent changes at Bradley Kelly:

  • First off, we’ve added electrical services and changed our company name to Bradley Kelly Construction Electric.
  • Secondly, we have a new logo.
  • And third…we’ve just launched our new website!

Here’s a bit of info to explain all our latest transformations…

Our new name

About a year ago, Bradley Kelly created added electrical services to our offering including electrical installations, high-voltage installations, and electrical maintenance and commissioning.

You’ll notice the new logo reflects the addition of electrical services but you can still call us Bradley Kelly Construction, or Bradley Kelly, or even “BK” for short.)

A new look and feel

After being in business for over 35 years—we figured it was time for the Bradley Kelly brand to experience a bit of a refresh.

Namely, we went about refreshing our corporate logo.

Our kelly green-coloured trucks are instantly recognizable at construction – and now electrical – project sites across Ottawa. Our signature green colour is a reflection of our Irish heritage so it remains our primary corporate colour, but we have modernized our logo – and we think it better reflects our growing company.

Above all, we wanted to ensure our logo represented our company’s character and corporate values.

Over time, you will start seeing the new logo everywhere: not just on our trucks, but our business cards and other marketing materials—like our website!

Speaking of which…

Welcome to our new website

To go along with our new look and feel, we also launched our new website in December 2017.

Our website provides a fresh and modern look with all the functionality of a fully responsive website – so the site will function well no matter what device you view it on.

While you’re here, we invite you to take a look at our new website. Check out the Bradley Kelly story, learn more about our commitment to safety, and get to know members of the BK team. Meanwhile, please keep coming back for blog updates.

We hope you like the new website as much as we do. These are certainly exciting times for Bradley Kelly!

Bradley Kelly is Growing!

Bradley Kelly is over 35 years young…and continues to grow.

Well, more like expand.

This has especially been the case since the addition of our electrical division early in 2017 which specializes in electrical installations, high-voltage installations, and electrical maintenance and commissioning services.

To support growth in the electrical division we are thrilled to have Shawn Best as our VP of Electrical and Ed Malek as Electrical Project Manager who combined have over 40 years experience in the industry.

We’ve also recently moved to a new site at 1027 Moodie Drive—just two doors down from where we were before, but a larger location where we can have our yard and shop all together.

Since joining BK six years ago, our President, Bob Brennan, has lead the growth of the business. His vision was to expand our services, including creating the electrical division.

Given all our recent activity and the strengthening of the business, Bradley Kelly is obviously heading in the right direction.

But we’re not stopping here. We have many more plans for the future. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to expand our presence and services in the Ottawa region!

Bradley Kelly Sponsors The “Original Beautiful Game”

You may never have heard of Gaelic Football, but we at Bradley Kelly are big fans!

So big, in fact, that we are platinum-level annual sponsor of the Ottawa Gaels youth program.

Now that we have recently rebranded, the new Bradley Kelly logo is featured prominently on the front of more than 100 kids’ jerseys. Plus, we help support the youth program financially by purchasing equipment and making it easier for them to attend the Continental Youth Championships.

So what is Gaelic Football, anyway?

Known as the “original beautiful game,” it is Ireland’s most popular spectator sport: combining skills from soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, and the speed of some of the world’s fastest sports.

Given our company’s (and founders’) Irish heritage, it only makes sense that we would sponsor an organization promoting Gaelic games and culture.

Here are some interesting tidbits about Gaelic Football in Ottawa:

  • The ball used is round and covered in soft leather, similar to but a bit heavier than a volleyball
  • This round-ball game requires 15 athletes per team to line up across the full field—that’s 30 players on the field at once!
  • It is one of the few remaining amateur sports worldwide with players, coaches and managers prohibited from receiving payment
